2027 Ice Dive Weekend Scholarship Rules & Eligibility
The Underwater Forensics and Education Foundation (“UFEF”) is offering a scholarship opportunity awarding selected applicants a sponsored position in the 2027 Ice Dive Weekend program scheduled for January 28–31, 2027, in Monticello, New York.
The weekend program includes opportunities to earn certifications in:
- ERDI Ice Diving
- Thin Ice Diving
- UCI Ice Diving
Certification eligibility and successful completion are subject to participant performance, safety compliance, instructor evaluation, and all applicable training standards.
Participation in the scholarship program constitutes acceptance of the following rules, requirements, and conditions.

The UFEF Supports Programs Dedicated To Underwater Forensic Recoveries
The UFEF was founded by experienced public safety divers who understand that proper training is the key to executing an underwater forensic investigation. Our Scholarship program is meant to help support those Public Safety Divers to get the education that is needed when the funding is not available to them or their team.
Our Mission
The mission of UFEF is to support the professional development of public safety divers through specialized educational opportunities, while conducting expert underwater forensic searches and recoveries to aid investigations and bring closure to families. We believe in advancing skill, professionalism, and readiness across the public safety diving community.
